Peran Speaker 2 pada Lomba Debat Bahasa Inggris

Cara menyusun kalimat bagi Speaker 2

This person is the one gives the ''meat of the matter' the second speakers of both teams are alloted with 8mins each. Within this eight mins they are to give strong points and elaborate on them. They should also restate the definitions that the first speaker stated in their speech. This Speaker's infact,the most important because it is them who gives the explaination of the moot, Whether they are opposing or proposing.

The above definition, however relevant and correct, does not quite answer the question clearly. This is an example of what a 2nd speaker debate could look like.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I'm the second speaker for the __________ (negative/affirmative) team and I will be continuing my team's case tonight _______________ (the topic of the debate). I will firstly start with some rebuttal.
Speaker __ of the opposing team said, "_______________________________________"
He/She also said, "__________________________________________"
Now onto my debate. The first speaker from our team stated __________________________________ (their points)
My first point is that _________________ (your first point) The reasoning for this is __________________________________________________(at least two good strong reasons)
An example of this would be _____________________________________________ (an example or two. ALWAYS HAVE GOOD EXAMPLES, ESPECIALLY ON THE AFFIRMATIVE TEAM)
My second point is (repeat the whole process before)
If you have time you can do a third point
In conclusion my team is clearly right in saying _____________________________________________ (the topic) because _____________________________________________ (your points) .

The Don'ts
Don't say thank you at the end of your speech, your name, use sheets of paper, dance or sing, interupt the other speakers, exadurate to an obvious level, panic if the final bell has rang and you haven't finished your speech, converse with the audience, use personal attacks towards the opposition in your rebbutal, shout, include false evedince in your speech, ask for audiences opinios during your speech, don't say anything before after or during the debate that will make another person feel uncomfortable or upset, leave the building without a parent or responsible adult, use inappropriate.
